follow through. Putting and chipping skills will be taught using the same simple triangular connection
Motion, while pitching will be taught as a mini version of the larger swing motion. Instructors will also
touch upon rules of the game, etiquette, and safety issues. Games will be used to motivate and evaluate skill
development. As a bonus, these girls will have an optional play-day, every Wed starting July 12th. Register
to play that Monday. Adult supervision required. Sign-up with friends, and get ready to have some FUN!
| Level Two: | Fairway | Weekly Instruction (6:30-8:00) | Play-Day (2:20) |
Graduates from Level (1) Tee class, and girls with more advanced golf knowledge, will continue to work on
their fundamentals while expanding their golf skills. Level (2), or fairway level girls, will be given a reference
book. Inside are personalized tips, keys, swing thoughts, and drills instructors develop specifically for
the girls after observing them as they rotate from full swing principals, motion, and plane, to short-game
techniques and fundamentals. We continuously work to help the girls become self sufficient and make the
game of golf a fun/alternative social outlet. As a bonus, these girls will have an optional play-day, every Wed
starting July 12th. Register to play that Monday. Adult Supervision required. Sign-up with friends, and get
ready to learn!
| Level Three: | Green | Weekly Instruction (4:00-5:00) | Play-Day (2:00) |
For the girls who have graduated from the Level (2) Fairway class, they will continue to work on their
fundamentals, however, girls will now begin to play golf with instructor supervision beginning week 3, (June
21st). That week classes start for these girls at 2:30. The Green level is designed to get the girls on the
course and act as a sort of playing lesson...instructors are able to see where your girls are having problems
with shot selection choice, execution, and/or simply fundamentals flaws, then it’s off to the range for
ball-striking and short-game instruction. Each week the girls get to compete against their piers in a fun and
supportive environment. Sign-up with friends or teammates, and get ready to play!
Play-Day Details: Girls in the LPGA Girls Golf program are offered opportunity to play on
Wednesdays. The Play-Day format is offered as a no cost opportunity to get the girls out on the course.
Instructors will be on hand during the Play-Day sessions. This on course experience helps many overcome
the intimidation factor that prevents so many youth from participating in golf. We use the play-day format
to gauge the girls newly learned skills while also allowing instructors the opportunity to reinforce
techniques/principles taught during lesson and practice sessions.
Girls will sign-up for the Wednesday Play-Day each Monday before or after their lesson. Tee times will be determined
by skill level, and pairings can and will be influenced by friendships and affiliations. Each group will
play a predetermined number of holes, depending on skill levels, these holes may/may not be full length.
We ask that parents plan to walk with their daughter (s) on Wednesdays. We need at least one parent/group,
regardless of experience, to chaperone girls in Levels 1 & 2. This allows our instructors to flow more freely
among groups without the need to oversee group dynamics, etiquette, and pace of play.
Remember, the Wednesday Play-Day is optional, however, it is an integral component to the learning process.
We hope that your Daughters will enjoy this highly effective and fun program.
